About Baja Cleanse

About

Baja Cleanse sits where the desert meets the Sea of Cortez, on the East Cape of Baja California Sur. Every week here is shaped around whoever’s staying that week, their pace, their needs, their reasons for coming.

Health and wellness have been my world for years now. I opened the first detox spa in Mexico, and one of the first in Colorado, back when most people had never even heard the word “detox” outside of a juice cleanse. Around the same time, I opened two of the first health food stores in Mexico, where people could walk in and find real, clean food.

Every day I got to watch people feel better, sometimes for the first time in a long time.

From there came a wellness clinic focused on colon health, something I care deeply about. So much of how we feel, our energy, our mood, our sleep, traces back to gut health.

I was the first to bring a retreat to Mexico, and I’ve stayed close to that work ever since.

This is my little piece of paradise. A place to slow down, feel safe, and leave a little lighter than when you arrived.

If it can do for you what it’s done for the people who’ve stayed here, I’ll count that as a life well spent.

About Baja Cleanse

Meet Tanya

Retreat Director, health coach and soul guide

I’ve spent over thirty years working in health and wellness, first in Colorado, now here on the East Cape. What began as my own path toward healing became my life’s work. I opened the first retreat of its kind in this area back in 2017, and I’ve spent the years since helping people find that same shift, through nutrition, movement, and the harder work of letting go of what no longer serves them.

Many guests come back year after year. Some are on their fourth or fifth stay.

Meet Victor

Shamanic Healer

Victor leads earth medicine ceremony work rooted in Peruvian tradition. Each ceremony is one on one, fifteen to thirty minutes, and gives you space to sit with whatever comes up. A group integration circle follows, where guests can talk through what surfaced together, in a setting that stays private.

The ceremony is held with the intention of bringing clarity to whatever you’re working through. Sharing what comes up, in a space that feels safe, is part of how the release happens. Guests often describe it as grounding, a quiet moment inside their own mind they didn’t expect to find.
